　　昝启杰博士：经过5年的科学攻关，我们找到了一种寄生植物叫田野菟丝子，00 45 37 03它靠寄生在薇甘菊的嫩枝、嫩叶、嫩茎上面，然后从薇甘菊上面汲取营养来供它自己生长。最后的结果就是有少量的薇甘菊存在也有少量的菟丝子存在，但是不存在危害这样的一种状态。00 46 56 05很多专家担心，因为菟丝子大面积运用会对其他植物造成危害，现在我们几年几百亩的推广的效果来看这个问题应该不存在。

　　专家在对珠三角本地植物普查过程中又意外地发现当地土生土长的树种黄伞枫也可以有效抑制薇甘菊蔓延。

　　昝启杰博士：这种树能够分泌一种化学物质来抑制薇甘菊的生长，一棵树大概在两三米之内就没有薇甘菊。所以我们在薇甘菊危害比较多的地方，在树林的边缘就种这种树，种了以后薇甘菊就进不去。

　　近年，在薇甘菊危害最严重的广东深圳内伶仃岛上，通过这两种植物，并配合专用农药的使用，薇甘菊危害的面积已由原来的5.54平方公里缩减到现在的3.3平方公里。
